In a seemingly rational world, there is less and less space for curses and ghosts. Still, they continue to haunt and influence us. Everyone has their own way of dealing with their past, fears and dreams, in an effort to keep life from turning into a nightmare. Our minds are open, but our hearts are closed. We don't deserve the pain we inflict upon each other. We are just collectively going bad.

I draw my inspiration especially from my friends and the people I hold dear. Sometimes I work together with them in film or music, or I depict them in my paintings. I often find myself at the penumbra of society, partly because that is where my path takes me, but also because I choose to honor the urge to translate this contour of our lives into my work.
